Welcome Military Families to Saraland Elementary School!

 

I am very excited to have you and your family at SES. Recently, our local school

board passed a resolution publicizing the school’s support for military children

and families. We are here to support you and your child with enrollment. One of

the ways we offer support to your child is through the Student-Led Transition

Program. Current students serve as mentors to help new students feel welcomed

and comfortable. We are committed to providing critical transitional support for

military-connected students as they relocate to our school due to a parent's

change in duty station. Our focus is to eliminate barriers to the academic success

of military-connected students. We are here to assist and support the military

family lifestyle in such areas as school transitions, frequent moves, deployment,

and education inconsistencies that exist from state to state, along with many

others.
